The FSAI Delhi Chapter successfully conducted a Fire Safety Training Program at CP Kukreja Architects on 4 July 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 100 staff members, with employees attending both in person and online, reflecting the organisation's commitment to workplace fire safety and emergency preparedness.
The session commenced with an insightful address by Mr R. C. Sharma, who explained the common causes of fire incidents, preventive measures, and the importance of fire safety awareness in office environments. He also discussed the tragic Uphaar Fire Incident, highlighting how the fire started, the key shortcomings that contributed to the loss of lives, and the critical lessons learned from the incident. Participants were guided on how office infrastructure, emergency planning, and adherence to fire safety norms can significantly reduce fire risks and improve occupant safety.
The practical demonstration session was conducted by Mr Gaurav Singh and Mr R. C. Sharma, where various firefighting techniques and the correct use of fire extinguishers were demonstrated. The staff actively participated in the live demonstration, while employees attending online also engaged with the session through the virtual platform. The in-person participants gained valuable hands-on experience by operating fire extinguishers under expert guidance.
The successful execution of the program was supported by Mr Kumar Waibhav and Mr Piyush Shami, whose coordination and assistance contributed significantly to the smooth conduct of the event.
The training concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, where participants clarified their queries related to fire prevention, emergency evacuation, and the proper use of firefighting equipment. The program successfully enhanced awareness of fire safety practices and reinforced the importance of preparedness, enabling participants to respond confidently and effectively during fire emergencies.
