on 23rd May 2026, the Delhi Chapter successfully organised a Residential Fire Safety Awareness Program & Mock Drill at Regency Park 2, DLF Phase 4, Gurugram, attended by 40+ security staff and residents.
The event commenced with Mr David Singh introducing FSAI and highlighting the importance of fire safety awareness in residential communities.
The first technical session was conducted by Mr Anil K. Malik, who explained Disaster Management Plans, disaster awareness, and rescue techniques, and demonstrated emergency response procedures.
Mr Piyush Shami briefed the audience on common causes of fire in residential societies, including negligence and unsafe practices; types of fire extinguishers, causes of fire incidents; and residents' responsibilities during emergencies.
An interactive Q&A session was handled by Mr Gaurav Singh, Mr Siddhant Lamba, Mr Piyush Shami, and Mr Rajesh Bangera, where participants actively engaged and clarified their queries related to fire safety and emergency response.
Mr Rajesh Bangera also shared inspiring case studies of fire heroes, emphasising the importance of courage, preparedness, and quick response during emergencies.
The program concluded with a hands-on demonstration of fire extinguishers by Mr Gaurav Singh and Mr Rajesh Bangera, giving participants practical exposure to firefighting techniques and extinguisher operation.
Pamphlets on “How to Prevent AC Fire Incidents During Summers” were also distributed among the staff members to spread awareness regarding preventive maintenance and safe usage practices. In addition, an A3 safety poster was provided to the staff members for display on the society bulletin boards to further educate residents and visitors.
The session was highly informative and impactful, spreading awareness about fire prevention, preparedness, and life safety among residents and security staff.
